Bio

Diana Rice (b. 2000) is a multimedia artist based in Akron, Ohio. She received her BFA with honors in painting and drawing and a minor in illustration from The University of Akron in 2023. Her work embodies a tactile representation of the decay of her own memories, exacerbated by an all-consuming relationship with technology. During her time at The University of Akron, Rice received the Venice Biennale International Travel and Study of Art Scholarship. She has recently been exhibited at The Gallery at Cuyahoga National Park in Beginning at the End and published in Canvas Cleveland’s Who’s Next. Rice was granted a studio space through Summit Artspace’s Emerging Artist in Residency for two years upon graduation from the University of Akron and now operates her studio out of The Rookery Creative Collective in Kenmore, Akron, Ohio.
